Snorkeling - A number of small islands around Lanta Yai Island are protected by the Lanta Marine National Park. They offer crystal clear water where vast coral reefs and amazing varieties of aquatic life can be seen. With white powder sand beaches, they are also great to spend a lazy day sunbathing.
Kayaking- A great way to exercise and explore the near by islands.
Bu-Bu island located on the east side of Koh Lanta is perfect for kayaking. This tiny island is quiet with lovely white sand beach. Paddle through the clear water and feel at one with nature.
Fishing- The Andaman sea is well known amongst big game fishing enthusiast. Most commonly encountered are Tuna, Barracudas and Swordfish. For those who are less experienced or would just like to enjoy a day out at sea, fishing in the traditional style of a long tail boat with a local fisherman could be the most memorable experience.
Mangroves- Tung Yee Peng- located on the eastern coast of Koh Lanta is the best complete mangrove forest in the southern area. Take a trip through the many canals with the traditional long tail boat, see the area’s natural resources and local way of life.
